Case study
CatchApp
A mobile app that turns everyday plans into opportunities to meet people and nurture friendships.

- The product
- CatchApp is a social app for discovering plans, creating meetups and inviting other people. It brings events, maps, chats and profiles into one experience, making the step from “I want to meet people” to “we have a plan” feel simple.
- My role
- Product concept, experience architecture, core user flows, high-fidelity UX/UI design and a visual identity with its own color, typography and illustration system.
- Audience
- People who want to expand their social circle, keep friendships active and find company for specific activities without entering the dynamics of a dating app.
- The challenge
- Create a social experience that builds trust and makes real-life meetups easier: discover a plan, understand who is joining, coordinate the place, share a ride and keep talking afterwards.
- Scope
- A high-fidelity prototype. The proposal covers the essential flows and prepares the experience for future usability testing and product development.
From discovery to meeting up
The experience is organized around plans. From the home screen, people can explore events, see who is attending, create an activity and check its location. The goal is to reduce the distance between finding something interesting and confirming a real meetup.
Connections with context
Each plan brings together the information people need to feel confident before joining: confirmed attendees, meeting point, date, map and options for coordinating the journey. Chats keep the conversation linked to the experience so the connection does not disappear when the event ends.
An identity that breaks the ice
The visual direction uses lime green, soft blue and coral, paired with illustrated characters and rounded shapes. The playful tone makes onboarding feel approachable and separates CatchApp from more impersonal social interfaces or dating products.
CatchApp
From first connection to a real plan
Thirteen screens cover the complete experience: welcome, access, event discovery, plan creation, coordination, conversation and profile.
